Danie commenced his career as a candidate attorney with W.F Bouwer Attorneys in Pretoria. On completion of his articles, Danie continued with the firm as professional assistant specialising in administration of deceased estates & litigation.
Later, Danie moved to open his own law firm where he practiced under the name and style of Barnard Khan Attorneys, where he headed the litigation department. Danie provided legal assistance to many high-profile clients including Nedbank Ltd (Legal Foreclosures), Shackelton Credit Management (Legal Collections) and Standard Bank of South Africa (Deceased Estate Collections).
Danie is also an admitted Conveyancer and Notary, and has a master’s degree in Mercantile Law and Law of Contracts.
Barend Du Plessis

Barend graduated in 1994 at the University of Pretoria and began his career as an examiner at the Pretoria Deeds Office. In 1999, Barend was promoted to Senior Examiner having already obtained three merit A awards.
Barend was involved in the training of, and assistance to, the personnel for the commission for Land Restitution. He also headed the Sectional Title, Information and other administrative departments in the Deeds Office. He was involved in streamlining the process for the registration of properties in the former TBVC-Homelands and became an expert in the application of the laws of succession in respect of estate properties.
In 2006 Barend served his articles at Strydom Britz Mohulatsi Attorneys, and it came to no one’s surprise that, after one year of employment, he was appointed as Head of Estate Transfers and Correspondents section within the Strydom Britz Conveyancing Department. Barend is an expert in township and sectional title developments and has assisted local authorities in drafting their conditions of establishment for township development.
Yusuf Patel

Yusuf Patel graduated in 2004 with an LLB Degree from the University of Pretoria. He later went on to obtain an Advanced Insolvency Diploma which allowed him to further his career in Deceased Estates and Insolvent Estates.
Yusuf served his articles at Barnard Khan Attorneys under the supervision of Danie Barnard. After being admitted, Yusuf continued with Barnard Khan Attorneys as a professional assistant where he headed the Deceased and Insolvent Estate Department, which provided services to the Solidary Trade Union, Standard Bank Home Loans, Wades Administrative Solutions, as well as many other trust companies.

Wilmari graduated in 2008 with a BCom Degree, and in 2010 with a LLB Degree (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria.
Wilmari served her articles at Barnard and Patel Inc under the supervision of Danie Barnard. After being admitted, Wilmari continued with Barnard and Patel Inc as an associate attending to General Litigation matters. She specifically has experience in Correspondent Litigation, Drafting of Contracts, Family Law matters, Commercial matters and Insolvency Law.
Rizqah Carrim-Ally

Rizqah Carrim-Ally graduated in 2015 with an LLB Degree from the University of Pretoria. In 2016, Rizqah completed her Law School with the University of Pretoria, and was then selected for an internship with Lawyers for Human Rights with special focus on their Refugee programme.
Rizqah served her articles at Barnard and Patel Inc under the supervision of Danie Barnard and Yusuf Ahmed Sayed Patel. After being admitted, Rizqah continued with Barnard and Patel Inc as a professional assistant in the Deceased Estates Department.

Adriaan Nortjé joined in November 2018 as Property Consultant and has extensive experience in property management and sales. Adriaan also holds a B.Mil qualification from Stellenbosch University, as well as a C.E.A.
Adriaan provides legal advice on professional sales contracts, property evaluations, marketing, bond registrations and cancellations, qualification and pre-approval services for purchasers, as well as property-related certificates.
Mufti Mohammad Aamir

Mufti Aamir completed his Islamic Jurisprudence studies at the Darul Uloom Zakariyya in 2007. He holds a Bachelors degree majoring in both Islamic Studies and Arabic.
Mufti Aamir has vast experience and knowledge of the Islamic banking industry as he served as the Shari’ah Advisor for The Standard Bank of South Africa between 2015 and 2021 and obtained his diploma in Islamic banking and Takaful through CIMA (UK).
He currently holds a position as a Shariah consultant for a number of companies, in addition to the above he is the head Imaam and Mufti of Masjid al Noor, as well as the appointed Head of the Islamic Department at Central Islamic School, Laudium.”
